Districts of Lakshadweep

Lakshadweep, meaning "a hundred thousand islands" in Sanskrit, is a Union Territory of India located in the Arabian Sea . It is composed of 36 islands, including 10 inhabited ones. These islands are grouped into three districts: Kavaratti, Agatti, and Minicoy. Each district is unique and offers visitors a glimpse into the culture, history, and natural beauty of Lakshadweep. 1. Kavaratti District Kavaratti is the administrative headquarters of Lakshadweep and is the most populated island in the territory. It is the capital of the Kavaratti district, which is made up of five islands: Kavaratti, Suheli Par, Pitti, Andrott, and Kalpeni. Kavaratti Island is famous for its stunning lagoons and coral reefs, making it an excellent spot for snorkeling and diving.
