Patiala is no doubt the centre par excellence for education, sports, culture, medicine etc. this city houses the prestigious Punjabi University, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Thappar University of Technology, JGND University, Maharaja Bhalinder Singh University, Govt Medical College Patiala, Govt Ayurvedic College, Chitkara University, Laxmi Bai Dental College, Yadwindra Public School, Punjab Public School, British Coed School, Kaintal Public school, Millenium Public School, Saint Peter's academy, Our Ladies of Fathima school, St Mary's school, Edumont school ( all are ICSE affiliated schools).
